Any band naming themselves after a porn star have to get some attention, it's just as well that Tura Satana
had some kind of musical credibility to boot. Formed in 1994 in Los Angeles and originally called Manhole, TS released
two albums and 4 singles: 1996 "All is not Well" Much rapping and vitriolic anger spits
forth from this album, the better of the two. Stand out tracks both lyrically and musically include "Kiss or Kill" and
"Break".
1997 "Relief through Release" Chock full of "Romeo&Juliet" quotes and bible references,
this album shows the more *cough* melodic side of the band. It also becomes apparent on this album that Tairrie has totally
let go of her rapping roots and decided that alternating between hardcore screecing and girly whining is the way to go.
TS sadly split in 1998 when Tairrie B(vocals) decided for some reason that she had the stuff it took to go solo -
well, even the best plans... Her first album with "My Ruin" was passable, the second - well i wouldn't miss it.
