The Distillers were formed in 1998 with the current line up of Brody(vocals + guitar), Casper(guitar), Matt(drums) and Kim(bass). Certain people have pointed out that singer Brody sounds like a certain Ms Love. Whilst not entirely disagreeing with them Brodys voice has so much more range and her song writing ability is far superior. The Distillers sound has been described as the glitteriness of the Lunachicks, the screeching of Eve Libertine, the vocal melodies of the rapping-era Tairrie mixed with Rancid guitar and old-school spirit. Even if you've never heard of The Distillers you've surely heard of some of the bands they've supported: The Dwarves, Rocket From the Crypt, U.S. Bombs and The Criminals. They already have dates scheduled with H20, AFI, and the Nerve Agents.
